Makers included: Beatrice Larkin, Bohemia & Flower, A Circular Story, Fáilte Studio, Flots, Frances Brown, Harriet Ferris, Havelock Studio, Karen Radford, Lucia Brajercikova, Old Hope Archive, Slavo Pecuch, Studio Mond, The Make Shed, The Natural Dyeworks & Woven Form.

Materiality: a state of being

In 2022 we invited 19 artists to produce up to 3 pieces of work each for a group show entitled, ‘Materiality: a state of being’.

Curated by our founder Natasha Lawless, a total of 60 artworks were installed over 3 floors of the house, which was then opened to the public for visitors to view the exhibition within a home environment.

5% of all sales were donated towards a fundraiser by The Margate Bookshop for buying books for local schools in Thanet, an area with the lowest children’s literacy and highest child poverty rate in Kent.

You can view highlights from the show in the gallery here.
